All military units have weapons, issued according to the TO&E --the table of organization and equipment which specifies who gets what.

Our two main weapons were:


The M3A1 .45 cal submachine gun.

Colt .38 cal. snub nose revolver.


.38 Detective Special


The .38 cal. revolver with a two inch barrel. These were either the Colt Agent or the Colt Detective Special. (The only difference being the 20 oz weight of the Detective Special, compared to the Agent's 14oz weight.) They were normally loaded with only five rounds -- the sixth chamber under the hammer remained empty for safety reasons.

. Caliber: .38 Special Barrel Length: 2 inch (5.1 cm). Action: Double Action. Range: 70 ft (21 m). Cylinder: 6 rounds . Made in: America. General Purpose .38 Revolver, Easily Concealed, and is available with a bobbed hammer.
